Wendy Peer

Dr. Wendy Peer is an Associate Professor in Environmental Science & Technology at the University of Maryland. Her research applies biochemistry, genetics, and live-cell imaging to study plant growth mechanisms.

Primary investigations focus on auxin regulation, specialized plant compounds (flavonoids/hormones), and metal-center proteins. Current projects include the Maryland Yeast Project and grain quality analysis.

She teaches courses in plant physiology and mentors graduate students researching auxin oxidation pathways.
