Wendy Hobbs is an Instructor in Civil Engineering Technology at SAIT's School of Construction, where she has taught since 2013 following guest lectureships at SAIT and the University of Calgary. She is a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) with Gold Seal Certification from the Canadian Construction Association, specializing in construction loan monitoring, cost consulting, and risk management for projects exceeding $100 million.
Her research focuses on innovative pedagogical approaches in construction education, particularly through gamification and narrative techniques. She has served in leadership roles including Education Director and President for the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS), and hosts the CIQS Podcast 'Knowledge Counts'.
