Wendy E. Parmet is the Matthews Distinguished University Professor of Law and Faculty Director of the Center for Health Policy and Law at Northeastern University School of Law, with a joint appointment as Professor of Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Northeastern University's School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs. She earned her BA from Cornell University (1979) and JD from Harvard University (1982).
Her research focuses on public health law, health policy, constitutional law, disability rights, and bioethics. She has published extensively on these topics, including books such as Constitutional Contagion: Covid, the Courts and Public Health (2023) and Populations, Public Health, and the Law (2009).

- Jay Healey Teaching Award (ASLME, 2016)
- Ranked #7 most-cited health law faculty nationally (2024)
Professor Parmet has led landmark litigation including Bragdon v. Abbott (1998), the first HIV discrimination case before the U.S. Supreme Court, and Finch v. Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority (2012) which protected immigrants' healthcare access. She directs the Center for Health Policy and Law and serves as Associate Editor for Law & Ethics at the American Journal of Public Health.
