Wendy E. Balliet

Wendy E. Balliet, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) College of Medicine. She serves on the Grand Rounds Committee and multiple hospital-wide committees within MUSC.

• Academic Focus: Behavioral Medicine, Transplant and Living Donation, Psycho-oncology
• Education: PhD in Counseling Psychology (Health Psychology concentration) from Virginia Commonwealth University
• Training: Pre-doctoral internship at University of Florida Health Science Center; Postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Medicine at MUSC

Dr. Balliet is Associate Co-Director of Clinical Operations for the Division of Bio-behavioral Medicine and supervises interns, postdoctoral fellows, and medical students in the Behavioral Medicine Clinic. Her work spans clinical research, training, and patient care, with emphasis on integrating psychological approaches in medical settings.

Current roles include leadership in clinical operations and active participation in academic committees.
