Wendy Ashurst

Wendy Ashurst is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at Bangor Business School, Bangor University. She serves as the Business School Director for Bangor College China overseeing Accounting & Finance programs, and holds leadership positions including BBS Director for Teaching & Learning and BBS Director for Undergraduate Studies. Previously, she lectured at Wigan and Leigh College and ran her own accountancy practice.

Her research focuses on:

• Management accounting systems and performance evaluation
• Financial statement analysis techniques
• Accounting decision-making frameworks
• Professional accounting education standards

She has received notable recognition:

• Teaching Fellow of Bangor University (2016)
• Shortlisted for Teacher of the Year (2017 Student Led Teaching Awards)

She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses including Introduction to Management Accounting, Advanced Management Accounting, and Financial Statement Analysis, while also coordinating professional qualification programs for ACCA and CIMA.
