Prof. Wencke Gwozdz is a Professor of Consumer and Supply Research at Justus Liebig University Giessen since 2018 and currently serves as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Nutritional Sciences, and Environmental Management. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hohenheim and has extensive experience at Copenhagen Business School. Her research focuses on sustainable consumption, health behavior, and consumer policy, particularly in nutrition. Methodologically, she specializes in quantitative approaches like surveys and field experiments.
Key projects include the IDEFICS, I.Family, Nudge-IT, and PLAN'EAT EU initiatives, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration. She concurrently holds positions as Visiting Professor at Copenhagen Business School and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia. Her editorial roles include Associate Editor at the Journal of Macromarketing and Editorial Board member at the Journal of Consumer Policy.
Research interests span behavioral economics applications to sustainability, with recent work addressing clothing consumption patterns, carbon footprint disparities, and dietary behavior interventions. She collaborates globally through projects like MISTRA Future Fashion (sustainable textiles) and DARWIN (NGT food transparency).
