Dr. Wen Zhong is a Professor in the Department of Biosystems Engineering at the Price Faculty of Engineering, University of Manitoba. Her research focuses on the application of nanotechnology in biomaterials, particularly in wound care, tissue engineering, and biomedical devices.

Education:
- 2002, PhD in Textile Engineering from Donghua University
Research Interests:
Dr. Zhong’s work spans multifunctional nanofibers for wound healing, hydrogels for biosensors, nano-carriers for drug delivery, and transport mechanisms in nanofibrous materials. Her studies integrate nanotechnology, biomaterials, and biomedical engineering to develop innovative solutions for healthcare and environmental applications.
Advising and Grants:
She actively recruits graduate students with backgrounds in Material Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields. Her research is supported by NSERC and CFI, with a focus on translational applications in tissue engineering and flexible electronics.
