Weihua Jin

Weihua Jin is an Industry Professor in the Department of Civil and Urban Engineering at the Tandon School of Engineering, New York University. He has held this position since September 2012 and was previously an Associate Professor at The City College of New York from 2010 to 2012.

Weihua Jin’s research focuses on Sustainable infrastructure materials, Waste to resource recovery (W2R), and Robotic and additive manufacturing for construction applications. His work explores the integration of recycled materials like waste glass into concrete composites, evaluates mechanical properties of advanced materials, and investigates pH-induced degradation mechanisms in cementitious systems.

His recent publications (2016–2023) emphasize cementitious composites, alkali-silica reaction (ASR), optical and pH sensing, and additive manufacturing in concrete. Key themes include material durability, environmental resilience, and sustainable design.
