Weiguang Yao, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He joined the institution in 2018 after serving as an assistant faculty member at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. His educational background includes a B.S. in Physics from Hangzhou Normal University, an M.Eng. in Accelerator Physics from the China Institute of Atomic Energy, and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario, complemented by clinical physics training in Canada.
