Wei Peng is an Assistant Professor at Princeton University, holding a joint appointment between the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment. She is also affiliated with the Penn State School of International Affairs. Her research focuses on computational models to analyze tradeoffs in climate policy, integrating social, political, and environmental dimensions. Peng earned her Ph.D. from Princeton University and a B.S. from Peking University. Prior roles include Assistant Professor at Penn State and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School.
Her research interests span climate policy design, energy transitions, and the health co-benefits of environmental regulations. She explores topics like air pollution governance in India and China, coal phase-out strategies, and renewable energy deployment.
