Prof. Dr. Wei Manske-Wang is a Professor at Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) in the Department of Nonprofit-, Social & Health Care Management since 2020, previously serving as Associate Professor (2020–2021). She leads the China Center at MCI and is Secretary General of the Austrian Hong Kong Society (AHKS). Her research focuses on Chinese political systems, digital transformation, and global geopolitical dynamics. She holds a PhD in Economics from Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and has extensive industry experience in international strategy and market intelligence with the Reinhausen Group. Awards include the 2022 Ars Docendi Teaching Award and DAAD recognition. Her teaching spans International Business, Innovation Management, and Doing Business in China/Asia.
Research highlights include analyses of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) impact on European SMEs, Silk Road infrastructure projects, and post-pandemic economic recovery strategies. She actively bridges academic, business, and political sectors through conferences, student exchanges, and policy dialogues. Key roles include Guest Professor at Shenzhen Technology University and jury member for the Chinese Bridge competition.
