معرفی
Dr. Wei Li is a Research Professor in the Department of Physics at Stevens Institute of Technology's Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science. With a background in space physics from the University of Science and Technology of China and Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dr. Li has held research positions at multiple prestigious institutions since 1985.
His research focuses on:
- Machine learning applications in remote sensing
- Radiative transfer modeling for atmosphere-surface systems
- Development of retrieval algorithms combining visible, infrared, and microwave data
- Atmospheric correction techniques for ocean color sensors
Dr. Li's publications demonstrate consistent innovation in radiative transfer modeling and satellite data processing, with recent work emphasizing machine learning approaches for atmospheric correction, aerosol retrieval, and snow/ice parameter estimation. His research spans satellite sensors including GLI, SeaWiFS, MODIS, VIIRS, SGLI, and GOCI.
With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Li has contributed significantly to remote sensing methodologies, particularly in developing algorithms for NASA's Cloud Absorption Radiometer and JAXA's GLobal Imager.
