Irene Weber Henking serves as Full Professor in the German Section of the Faculty of Letters at the University of Lausanne and Director of the Literary Translation Center, positions she has held since 1999. She additionally presides over the Stiftung Lémanique Translation Prize and leads the Master's program in literary translation.
Her academic foundation includes studies in Germanistics, Linguistics, and Hispanistics at the University of Lausanne and Salamanca, culminating in a Doctorate of Letters from Lausanne in 1998.
