معرفی
Dr. Wayne Schroder is a Lecturer in the School of Environment and Science (Bioscience Department) at Griffith University. His research focuses on microbiology, immunology, virology, and drug discovery, with a particular emphasis on understanding immune responses to viral infections and the development of novel therapeutic strategies. He has contributed to studies on chikungunya virus, liver fibrosis, and the role of regulatory T cells in chronic graft-versus-host disease.
In teaching and supervision, he currently serves as Associate Supervisor for a doctoral project on Tfh cell activation in parasitic infections and as Principal Supervisor for research into targeting Cep55 in cancer metastasis. His work spans experimental and computational approaches, including cheminformatics-driven drug design and RNA-Seq analyses.
Dr. Schroder’s research integrates cellular, molecular, and computational methods, with notable contributions to understanding mechanisms of viral pathogenesis, immune modulation, and translational drug discovery. His publications appear in high-impact journals such as Cell, PLoS Pathogens, and Molecules. Collaborations include studies on marine natural products and their applications in pharmacology.
