Wayne Richard Lamarre serves as Clinical Professor and Director of the Athletic Training Program at the University of New England. With over 15 years of teaching experience, he instructs courses in athletic injury diagnosis, therapeutic modalities, rehabilitation, pharmacotherapy, and interprofessional healthcare ethics. His clinical experience spans adolescent to professional athletes across multiple sporting disciplines.
Research focuses on performance medicine optimization, surgical interventions in sports contexts, and expanding career pathways for athletic trainers. He currently serves on the medical staff for the U.S. Women's National Ice Hockey Team, providing care during international competitions.
Prof. Lamarre maintains active clinical practice through per diem coverage while developing educational frameworks for athletic training competencies. His professional development emphasizes evidence-based approaches to sports injury management.
