Wayne S. Dysinger, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor in the School of Medicine’s Department of Family Medicine and an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Health at Loma Linda University. He also holds an Associate Clinical Professor title in the School of Medicine’s Preventive Medicine Department. His academic credentials include a BA from Southern Adventist University (1982), an MD from Loma Linda University (1986), and an MPH (1990).
Dr. Dysinger’s research focuses on Lifestyle Medicine, emphasizing chronic disease prevention, treatment, and reversal through multidisciplinary approaches. He advocates for integrating lifestyle interventions into clinical practice, including group visits, value-based care models, and technology-driven solutions like the MyHeart mHealth system for heart failure management. His work spans public health initiatives such as the Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP), which reduces chronic disease risk factors in populations.
