Dr. Olivia Moses is an Assistant Professor in both the School of Public Health and the School of Medicine's Department of Preventive Medicine at Loma Linda University. She holds a DrPH and MPH from Loma Linda University (2005 and 2001, respectively) and a BS from Atlantic Union College (1998).
Her research focuses on lifestyle factors influencing health outcomes, particularly in workplace wellness programs, smoking cessation interventions, and metabolic disorders. Key areas include employee health initiatives, chronic disease prevention, and the interplay between stress, inflammation, and cardiometabolic risk. She has conducted studies on incentive-based smoking cessation programs (BREATHE cohort) and lifestyle risk factors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Her work bridges preventive medicine and public health, with a focus on translational research to improve population health through evidence-based interventions. Notable projects include the Qatar-based study on non-exercise activity thermogenesis and metabolic syndrome, and a pilot health coaching program for employees.
