His research explores Israeli settler colonialism’s spatial and temporal dimensions, including surveillance technologies, privatized security, and atmospheric violence (e.g., skunk water). Recent projects investigate Palestinian pastoral communities and permaculture collectives as decolonial alternatives to modernist systems of extraction and enclosure. His work merges Deleuzian theory with empirical fieldwork to analyze colonial violence’s affective and material dimensions.
Key research themes include: settler colonial assemblages, dromoelimination, colonial policing, and political ecology. His publications critically examine Israel’s war machine, colonial frontiers, and Palestinian resistance strategies.
Grants & Projects:
- ERC-funded 'Dwelling in Crisis' (2024–present)
- Academy of Finland-funded 'Present-futures in/of Palestine' (2020–2023)
He co-administrates the 'Dwelling in Crisis' project and collaborates with researchers like Mikko Joronen and Dana Massad on decolonial ecological frameworks. His work bridges academic research with activism, stemming from prior human rights advocacy with BADIL and B’Tselem.
