Dr. Shaira Vadasaria is a Lecturer in Race and Decolonial Studies at the University of Edinburgh's School of Social and Political Science, Department of Sociology. She holds a PhD in Sociology from York University and has taught at Al-Quds University and Carleton University. Her research focuses on race, colonialism, and decolonial thought with a particular emphasis on Palestine, humanitarianism, and legal frameworks.

Research Interests: Vadasaria examines race and racialization across law, social regulation, and settler colonialism.
