Dr. Warren Anderson is a Professor and Director of Judson University's Demoss Center for Worship in the Performing Arts. He teaches in the Worship Arts and Music departments, directs the Judson University Choir, and has held multiple roles including Dean of Chapel, Dean of Men, and Admissions Counselor over his 30+ year tenure. A Judson alumnus (B.A. 1986), he earned an M.A. in English from Northwestern University (1992) and a Doctor of Worship Studies from the Robert E. Webber Institute (2010).
His research focuses on contemporary worship practices, rock/jazz/choral music integration, and sacred writing. He has published widely in Worship Leader, CCM, and academic journals, emphasizing themes like liturgical innovation, congregational song relevance, and ministerial sustainability. Current projects include the blog Emmaus Road Worshipers exploring theological insights in worship.
Anderson’s career spans multifaceted contributions: pastoral leadership, athletics coaching, and housing administration. His work bridges traditional liturgical studies with modern worship trends, advocating for beauty and accessibility in sacred practices.
