Wanda Riddle is an Assistant Professor in the Department of American Sign Language and Deaf Studies at Gallaudet University. She holds roles as the BA-ASL Program Coordinator, ASL Test developer, and ASL researcher, while pursuing a Ph.D. Her teaching focuses on advanced ASL courses such as ASL-270 (Comparative Analysis with English), ASL Data Analysis, and ASL Instruction methodologies. She has taught courses like ASL-304/305 (Data Analysis), ASL-421/422 (Instruction Applications), and coordinates internships (ASL-490). Her research interests include ASL structure, pedagogy, and linguistics.
Dr. Riddle is an active member of the American Sign Language Teaching Association (since 2019). Her work bridges theoretical linguistics with practical ASL education, emphasizing comparative analysis between ASL and English, non-manual grammatical signals, and the application of ASL data in teaching.
