Waltraud Schelkle

Waltraud Schelkle is a Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) European Institute. She is also currently the Joint Chair for European Public Policy at the Department for Political and Social Sciences and the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute (EUI).

• Research Focus: Schelkle specializes in the political economy of monetary integration, European Monetary Union, and the impact of financial markets on policy-making. Her work explores inter-state risk-sharing, sovereignty, solidarity, and identity in Europe post-2008 through an ERC-funded project.
