Pierre Schlosser

Pierre Schlosser is an Assistant Professor of Political Economy at the European University Institute and Deputy Director of the Florence School of Banking and Finance, part of the Robert Schuman Centre. He has expertise in financial regulation, EU fiscal and monetary policies, and sustainable finance.

His research focuses on banking crisis management, sustainable finance regulation, and the integration of EU Monetary, Fiscal, Banking, and Capital Markets Unions. Pierre is also the author of Europe’s New Fiscal Union (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019), reflecting his work on EU economic governance.

Previously, he worked for 5 years at EURELECTRIC, a Brussels-based European energy industry association, focusing on smart grids and renewable energy regulation.

The Florence School of Banking and Finance, under his deputy directorship, serves as a hub for executive education, policy debates, and research on financial stability.
