Walter Voit

Dr. Walter Voit is an Associate Professor of Materials Science & Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas), serving as Director of the Center for Engineering Innovation. He holds dual affiliations within the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science. His research focuses on advanced polymers, additive manufacturing, and bioelectronic interfaces, with notable contributions to shape-memory polymers and 3D-printable materials. Voit has led projects funded by DARPA, NSF, and NIH, including a $1M DARPA Young Faculty Award for prosthetic control systems.
