Walter Richard Boot, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology in Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and Associate Director of the Center on Aging and Behavioral Research. He holds key roles as one of five principal investigators at the National Institute on Aging-funded Center for Research and Education on Aging and Technology Enhancement (CREATE), and as Co-Director of the ENHANCE Center, funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research. His research focuses on leveraging existing and emerging technologies to enhance health, social connectivity, and quality of life for older adults with and without cognitive impairments.
Boot’s academic contributions include advancing interdisciplinary approaches to aging and technology, particularly through his leadership in federally funded research centers.
