Walter Prahl is an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, where he teaches ESG investing. He is a retired partner from Lord Abbett, a New Jersey-based investment management firm, where he directed quantitative research and managed equity/fixed income portfolios. His career also included roles at Goldman Sachs and Sanford C. Bernstein, Inc.
Dr. Prahl holds a Ph.D. and undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and he earned the CFA Institute’s Certificate in ESG Investing. His professional focus has centered on integrating ESG principles into investment strategies across asset classes.
Throughout his career, he developed ESG analytic frameworks and advocated for sustainable investing practices, reflecting his commitment to both financial rigor and environmental/social governance.
