Walter Báez

Walter Báez serves as a Research Associate within the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) at Oregon State University, conducting research under the mentorship of Professor Shan de Silva, a leading volcanologist and geophysicist.

His scholarly focus centers on Earth Sciences with specialized expertise in Geology, Volcanology, and Geophysics. This research domain investigates planetary formation processes, volcanic hazard assessment, magma dynamics, tectonic plate interactions, and geophysical monitoring techniques critical to understanding Earth's subsurface systems.
