Walid Salhab

Walid Salhab is a Lecturer in Media Practice at Queen Margaret University’s Media, Communication and Performing Arts Division. He specializes in innovative filmmaking techniques such as stop-motion, hyperlapse, and time-lapse photography. His work has garnered international acclaim, notably for capturing the construction of The Kelpies (Falkirk) and producing viral films like Kinetic Edinburgh II, which earned over 8 million views. Salhab’s films have been showcased at prestigious festivals including Cannes and Woods Hole, winning multiple awards. His research focuses on digital media’s role in storytelling and content creation, reflected in his contributions to QMU’s MSc Digital Campaigning and Content Creation program.
