معرفی
Wai-Lun Chan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Kansas since 2018. His research focuses on fundamental electronic processes in molecular solids, conjugated polymers, organic-inorganic hybrids, and 2D materials for energy applications.
- PhD in Materials Science, Brown University (2007)
- BS & MS in Materials Science, Chinese University of Hong Kong (2001, 2003)
His group employs time-resolved two-photon photoemission spectroscopy and ultrafast techniques to study charge/exciton dynamics (10-14–10-9 s) for advancing solar energy conversion and flexible electronics. Key interests include exciton transport, charge transfer, and 2D layered crystals.
Recent publications emphasize organic-2D interfaces, hybrid perovskite systems, and ultrafast electron dynamics. Awards include the NSF CAREER Award (2014) and MRS Graduate Student Silver Award (2005). Current students include Kushal Rijal, Fatimah Rudayni, and Neno Fuller, with alumni now at Intel, University of Colorado Boulder, and Beijing Jiaotong University.
