Aaron Rose

Aaron Rose is a Researcher III at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), specializing in light-matter interactions in nanomaterials for photochemical applications. His work focuses on solar photochemistry, quantum and carbon nanomaterials, and photoelectrochemical CO2 reduction, leveraging plasmonics and strong exciton–polariton coupling.

• Education: PhD and Master in Condensed Matter Physics (Boston College), Bachelors in Space Physics and Aerospace Engineering (Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University)

Research Interests: Controlling reaction energetics and charge transfer in 2D transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), 2D perovskites, and carbon nanotubes. His work bridges ultrafast spectroscopy, quantum materials, and solar energy conversion.
