Wadia Mulla

Wadia Mulla is a Professor at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, specializing in Clinical Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences. She serves as Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Medical Director of Labor & Delivery at Temple Health.

Dr. Mulla’s research focuses on maternal diabetes (pregestational and gestational), obesity in pregnancy, and the interplay between maternal health and childhood obesity. Her work spans both clinical obstetrics and molecular genetics, with peer-reviewed publications on fetal membranes, chromosomal deletions, and genetic disorders.

Notable awards include the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2010 and 2020, and recognition as a Philadelphia Top Doc in 2014. She has contributed to advancements in maternal-fetal medicine through clinical trials and genetic studies.

Dr. Mulla is board-certified in American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and its subspecialty in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and American Society of Human Genetics.
