Wade Richards is an Instructor of Music Teaching & Learning at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester. He currently serves as Program Director of the Trinity Assistance Corporation’s Blue Ridge Music Therapy Center and founder/director of the Therapeutic Arts Program for individuals with special needs (ages 21–30). Previously, he was Chair of the Music Therapy and Orff-Schulwerk Departments at the Hochstein School of Music & Dance for 16 years. He holds a B.S. in Music Therapy from SUNY Fredonia and completed advanced training in Orff-Schulwerk (Eastman School of Music, University of Kentucky, Arizona State) and Neurologic Music Therapy (Center for Biomedical Research in Music). He also completed a certificate in Performance Wellness under Louise Montello.
His expertise focuses on applying music therapy to special needs populations, Orff-Schulwerk pedagogy, and neurologic rehabilitation through music. He directs his private practice 'Time for Music,' publishing resources for music therapists and educators. Richards frequently presents at national workshops on music therapy innovations and program development.

Program Initiatives: Leadership in developing transition programs for young adults with disabilities, integrating music therapy into community-based rehabilitation.
