W.K. den Otter is an Associate Professor at the MESA+ Institute, part of the University of Twente, within the Multi Scale Mechanics department. His research focuses on molecular simulations, colloids, polymer physics, electrochemistry, and fluid dynamics. He contributes to Sustainable Development Goals through studies on supercapacitors and energy storage.
Recent work includes developing efficient algorithms for molecular simulations of electrodes and analyzing supercapacitor charging dynamics.
