Dr. W. Brett Wiley is a Professor of English and Director of the Honors Program at Mount Vernon Nazarene University's School of Arts and Humanities. He has held academic roles since 2004, including Adjunct Professorships and Graduate Teaching Assistant positions. His research focuses on contemporary American literature with an emphasis on religious and ethical themes, particularly in authors like George Saunders and Toni Morrison. He has published extensively on postmodern fiction, moral philosophy in narrative, and literary pedagogy. His teaching awards include the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (2010-2011) and recognition for student recruitment and advising.
