Vít Halada

Vít Halada is an Associate Professor at the Department of Architectural Design, Faculty of Architecture, Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. He teaches Architecture Studio II, supervises bachelor's and diploma theses, and covers subjects including Analysis of Architectural Work, Creation of Urban and Landscape Environment, and Urban Planning.

His research interests span across multiple architectural domains:

• Residential Architecture including Family Houses
• Sacral Buildings and Memorial Design
• Exhibition Design
• Reconstruction and Historical Building Restoration
• Material Studies (Brick, Reinforced Concrete, Corten Steel)

Professor Halada's professional work shows a consistent focus on contemporary Slovak architecture with particular attention to residential design, memorial spaces, and urban interventions. His projects often incorporate traditional Slovak architectural elements while applying modern design principles and materials, with notable works spanning from 2008 to 2021.

His professional recognition includes:

• Monument Majer CE ZA AR winner (2016)
• House of 10 platforms BA recognition (2012)

Professor Halada has served on juries for significant architectural competitions including the Modernization of the Regional Museum in Prešov, Park and public space near the synagogue in Trnava, Expansion of the Senec City Hall, Architectural and artistic design of the new exhibition "The Life and Work of the Poet Ivan Krasek", and Depot park Trnava.

His professional practice extends beyond academia, with his own architectural works including the House of 10 platforms, Military Cemetery in Majer Banska Bystrica, and several residential projects throughout Slovakia. His work has been featured in architectural exhibitions including at the Venice Architecture Biennale.
