Martin Derner

Martin Derner is an Associate Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, specializing in the Drawing Cabinet department. His work spans graphic design, digital art, painting, and visual communication, with a focus on art education and spatial representation.

• Education: Doctorate (2009-2015) from the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica; Master's (2000-2002) and Bachelor's (1996-2000) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava; secondary studies at the Secondary Technical School in Košice (1987-1991).
• Research Interests: Intersections of urban design, abstract drawing, digital graphics, and art education, exploring themes like social spaces, memory, and conceptual storytelling.
