Véronique BUISSON is an Associate Professor in the Finance Department at ESSEC Business School. Her career spans over three decades in academic and professional finance roles, with a focus on international finance, export financing, and project finance. She holds a Doctorate in International Economics and Finance from Paris Dauphine University-PSL (1984) and an MSc in Management from ESCP Europe (1978). Current academic positions include Associate Teaching Professor (2006–present) and Assistant Teaching Professor (1996–2006). Her professional experience includes roles as Financial Advisor at the French Board for Foreign Trade (1985–1991) and Project Manager at Lion Propeco (1991–1993).
Her research interests emphasize export finance, renewable energy financing, and corporate finance strategies. She has authored numerous case studies on topics such as IPOs, LBOs, and real estate asset management. Notable case studies include analyses of Sakura’s financial restructuring post-Burberry licensing termination and renewable energy investments in Nigeria.
She is actively involved in consulting for international finance projects, focusing on OECD consensus, export financing, and investment guarantees. Her academic contributions are complemented by personal pursuits in multilingual studies (Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese) and advocacy for animal welfare and vegan finance principles.
