Volker Mehrmann

Volker Mehrmann is a full professor of Mathematics at the Technical University of Berlin. He specializes in numerical mathematics, scientific computing, control theory, and energy-based modeling of complex systems. His work focuses on port-Hamiltonian systems, differential-algebraic equations, and their applications in real-world domains like gas transport and district heating networks.
