Vladya Borisova

Professor Vladya Borisova serves in the Department of Business Administration at Sofia University 'St. Kliment Ohridski' Faculty of Economics. An economist and lawyer by training, she brings over 20 years of specialized experience in intellectual property systems and commercialization frameworks.

Her research focuses on Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer, and Copyright Law, informed by long-term specializations at the Queen Mary Intellectual Property Research Institute (London) and Université de Lille-I (France). As a recognized industrial property representative, her work bridges legal frameworks with creative industry applications.

Professor Borisova maintains active international engagement as a WIPO expert and organizational vice-president. Her professional trajectory includes leadership roles as former head of the Department of 'Intellectual Property and Creative Industries' and Director of the 'Institute of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer' at UNWE, plus service as Chairman of Bulgaria's Patent Office.
