Prof. Vladislav Nenchev is a Professor for Embedded Systems at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of the Bundeswehr Munich since October 2024. His expertise spans robotics, control systems, and artificial intelligence integration.
Education:
- Bachelor/Master in Electrical Engineering (2005–2010) at TU Berlin, supported by DAAD scholarship
- PhD in Optimal Robot Motion (TU Berlin), with visiting research at Boston University as a Fulbright Scholar
Research Focus: Combines model-based robotics/control theory with AI techniques, focusing on autonomous driving systems and resilient embedded systems design. Active in verifying autonomous robot behaviors and integrating advanced driver assistance systems into production environments.
Industry Experience:
- 2016–2020: Led technical development of motion planning/control systems for BMW's driver assistance programs
- Collaborated with industry on renewable energy and sustainable rail transport projects
