Dr. Vladimir Tyazhelnikov is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Sydney's School of Economics, specializing in international trade, industrial organization, and economic history. His research examines global value chains and firm-level dynamics in international trade, with current projects focusing on production clustering, offshoring strategies, and market structures in global commerce.
Education includes a PhD from the University of California, Davis, an MA from the New Economic School, and a BSc from Moscow State University. Prior to joining Sydney in 2017, he held positions that strengthened his expertise in trade economics.
