Vivienne Dacre

Dr. Vivienne Dacre is a Senior Lecturer at Wrexham University with lead responsibility for Social Work and Therapeutic Child Care. Her teaching focuses on trauma, attachment, and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE). She organizes the annual Therapeutic Child Care conference in partnership with The Consortium for Therapeutic Communities.

Previously, she worked as a qualified social worker with children and families, and served as a senior manager in the private care sector overseeing therapeutic services. Her extensive practice experience includes managing local authority family centers, children's residential homes, child abuse investigations, and therapeutic interventions for trauma-affected individuals.
