Dr. Vivien Forner is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Wollongong's Faculty of Business and Law, specializing in applied psychology research focused on social psychology, well-being, motivation theory, and leadership development. She has over 15 years of combined industry and academic experience, leading collaborative projects that bridge academic research with organizational challenges. Previously, she served as a part-time lecturer in Management, Operations & Marketing (2021–2021) and a Research Assistant at the Sydney Business School (2012–2014).
Her research explores human behavior in workplaces, emphasizing leadership development and employee well-being. She has contributed to interdisciplinary studies, such as analyzing frontline employee roles and leadership's impact on social care organizations. Dr. Forner also holds a role as Director of Research at the Institute of Management Psychology, furthering her commitment to practical research applications.
- Funding: Led a 2013 grant (Global Challenges Seed Funding) to redesign leadership approaches for volunteer retention in the NSW SES.
