Vivian Chin is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at Weill Cornell Medical College, part of Cornell University. She is also an Assistant Attending Neurologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Her clinical expertise includes neuromuscular disorders such as ALS, peripheral neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, and myopathy, as well as headaches and nerve injuries.

Dr. Chin is board-certified in neurology and electrodiagnostic medicine. Her research interests align with her clinical focus, particularly in advancing care for neuromuscular and motor neuron diseases. A 2008 publication highlights her engagement with ethical implications of neurological research.
She previously served as Medical Director of Neuroscience Ambulatory Services at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, after relocating from New York in 2019 due to her husband’s U.S. Navy stationing. She returned to New York City in 2023.
