Vivek Vasan is a CONNECT PhD researcher at Trinity College Dublin, supervised by Prof. Marco Ruffini and Prof. Dan Kilper. His academic background in Physics includes a Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

His PhD project focuses on the coexistence of classical and quantum communication in networks, funded by the SFI under the US-Ireland partnership programme. He combines theoretical exploration with practical applications in quantum and satellite communications, supported by industry experience as a software developer in fintech.
