Vittorio Camarca

Vittorio Camarca is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET) within the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. He serves as a member of the PhotoNext Interdepartmental Center for applied photonics and leads research in microwave circuit design, power amplifiers, and gallium nitride (GaN) technology.

Research Interests focus on Doherty amplifiers, Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMIC), 5G Communication Systems, and Harmonic Tuning. His work addresses linearity-aware design, load variation tolerance, and efficiency optimization in multi-stage power amplifiers.

Recent Publications (2023–2025) include studies on GaN-based Doherty amplifiers for 5G and satellite communications, inverse class-F operation, ultra-wideband suppression, and waveform engineering. These span conferences like IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium and journals such as IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques.

Scientific Awards include the GAAS PhD Student Fellowship (2002). He has contributed to editorial committees as Guest Editor and Associate Editor for IEEE journals and evaluated research proposals for the European Commission’s Research Executive Agency (2018–2020).

Teaching roles include courses on Advanced Devices for High-Frequency Applications and Analog and Telecommunication Electronics across the College of Electronic, Telecommunications and Physics Engineering and other departments. He mentors PhD students Giulia Bartolotti and Zhifan Zhang.
