Vito Cristino

Dr. Vito Cristino is a Research Fellow in the Department of Chemical Science at the University of Ferrara, Italy. He holds a PhD in Chemical Science from the same institution. His research focuses on advanced synthesis techniques for semiconductors, including Sol-Gel, Solvo/Hydrothermal, Chemical Bath Deposition, Anodization, and Chemical Vapor Deposition. He specializes in electrochemical and spectroscopic characterization methods such as Cyclic Voltammetry, EIS, UV-Vis, and Fluorescence spectroscopy.

Dr. Cristino contributes to Prof. Antoni Llobet’s research group at the Institut Català d’Investigació Química (ICIQ) in Tarragona, Spain. He has authored 32 peer-reviewed journal articles and holds 4 international patents. His work bridges fundamental material science with applications in energy storage and electronic devices.

As part of the ICIQ team, he collaborates with PhD and Master’s students, including current members like Bhargab Biswas, Nikolay Nikolov, and Bailey Brook Spears. His research emphasizes innovation in sustainable materials synthesis and advanced material characterization.
