Visar Berisha

Visar Berisha is a Professor and Associate Dean of Research and Commercialization in the Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University (ASU), with a joint appointment in the College of Health Solutions. His work bridges engineering and healthcare, focusing on AI-driven analysis of speech and behavior to improve patient outcomes. He leads interdisciplinary research in digital medicine, machine learning, and signal processing.

Education: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University (2007).

Research Interests: Speech and audio AI, healthcare AI, statistical signal processing, and clinical applications. His team develops FDA-registered tools for tracking neurological disorders (e.g., ALS, Parkinson’s) and post-traumatic conditions through speech analysis.
