Virlena Crosley serves as Associate Provost, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs in the School of Business, and Associate Professor of Business at Linfield University. She joined Linfield in 2009, teaching management and accounting courses both on-campus and online. During the 2021-22 academic year, she assumed the role of Associate Dean, and served as interim provost in spring and summer 2023.
Her educational background includes:
- B.S. in Management, Linfield College (magna cum laude)
- M.P.A., Lewis and Clark College
- D.B.A., George Fox University
Dr. Crosley's research spans workforce development, human resources management, employment law, managerial and tax accounting, with additional focus on leadership, sustainability, and ethics. Her work bridges business education and public policy, emphasizing ethical organizational practices and workforce training systems that address societal challenges.
Prior to academia, she directed Oregon's Employment Department managing 47 field offices and 1,500+ employees. She has taught internationally as adjunct/visiting faculty in Shanghai, China and Nurtingen, Germany, demonstrating global engagement in business education.
