Virginie Ronneau is a legal researcher at the Faculty of Law, Catholic University of Louvain, specializing in civil liability law with a focus on emerging technologies. Her work bridges European regulatory frameworks and practical applications in healthcare and artificial intelligence.
Research Focus: Dr. Ronneau's expertise centers on civil liability in rapidly evolving domains, particularly medical device regulation and AI governance. Her scholarship addresses critical gaps in European legal harmonization, examining how burden of proof mechanisms adapt to technological complexity. Recent work analyzes the 2022 EU AI liability directives and their implementation challenges.
